David O. Oyeniran is a student at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. He is currently in 400 level pursuing a degree in Medicine and Surgery. This is a quest driven by personal experience and the loss of his cousin to bone cancer, which has motivated him to seek a career in Oncology. He looks forward to helping people with similar illnesses find healing, hope, and better results.Â
He was awarded the Funmike Empowerment Foundation Scholarship in 2025. This rekindled a spark of hope, a strive for excellence, an expression of gratitude for investing in his future. Through financial support and mentorship provided by the foundation, David is committed to contributing his quota to making the world a better place; and if there is ever a time they tell this story, let them say for their tomorrow, he sacrificed his today.
Beyond Medicine, he has an interest in volunteering, research, leadership and service. He is a former Congressman in the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association and an alumnus of the Millennium Campus Fellowship Class of 2024. He is an aspiring author, singer and an academic coach.
